Mentoring Mapping Nottingham

Mentoring Mapping Research
Towards a Strategic Mentoring Approach for Nottingham
Earlier this year Human Relations Network (HRN) were contracted by the Crime & Drugs Partnership (CDP) to carry out a comprehensive mapping exercise of past, and current mentoring initiatives in the city to determine key success, failures and lessons that need to be learnt.
The main aim of the mapping exercise was to determine both the availability and quality of mentoring services in Nottingham and to identify any gaps in current mentoring provision – making recommendations for a future, strategic and coordinated approach to mentoring across the city. Mentoring has been identified as one of the priorities of Nottingham’s Early Intervention programme.
Following the success of this project, mentoring has been included as a priority for the first round of Nottingham’s ‘Early Intervention’ funding. Since Carrying out this project Humans Relation Network have had a number of enquries from numorous organisations looking to set up mentoring projects. It seems that mentoring has really been put back on the map.
