Business Building Communities
Business Building Communities is a 2 year Objective 3 European Social Fund financed project in partnership with Business in the Community (East Midlands) and Leicestershire Care.
This project puts the Corporate Social Responsibility agenda into practice by developing 4 capacity building partnerships between community organisations and businesses across Leicestershire.
Over the course of the project individual businesses will “adopt” a voluntary and community sector organisation and provide a minimum of 100 hours one-to-one capacity building support. There is no charge to community organisations or businesses that wish to participate.
Community Groups signed up to date are Muslim Women’s Association, St. Gabriel’s Community Centre, Turning Point Women’s Centre and Focus Leicestershire.
Groups wishing to take part in the programme should ideally be located within a disadvantaged area as defined by the national ‘Index of Multiple Deprivation’
